I am Giangi, a working mom and a passionate cook. A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to learn how to cook. With no idea of where to start, and having to follow my grandmother, mother and father’s footsteps in the kitchen, I decided to grab a cookbook with beautiful pictures and try my best to replicate them. Wouldn’t you? I mean the pictures are there to inspire us right? I’m not a stranger to the kitchen, I know my way around one, but I just needed the confidence to try a recipe and if it worked and my family enjoyed it, then next time I could experiment a little and add my own flair. The more recipes I tired, the more my confidence grew. That was the beginning of a great love affair, dinner parties for friends and family, and you guessed it, an extensive collection of cook books, then of course came the array of dishes, pots and pans, fun gadgets that made cooking exciting and short of probably opening my own store.

As many of you know, being a working mom, like many other Moms across the world, I was caught up in the madness for healthy ways to feed my family not to mention limited time that I have to spend in my kitchen during the work week… As a result I started creating as well as modifying recipes to allow me to make them in less than 45 minutes.
The recipes I share with you focus on quick and easy meals for every day cooking. Using simple and fresh ingredients, you will be able to create delicious, nutritious and elegant dishes that your family will always remember and cherish.

As you read my Blog and try the recipes for yourself, be forewarned, English is not my first language. I was raised in France by my French dad and spent my summers in Italy with my Italian mom. Therefore, French and Italian are my main languages; with the occasional Spanish thrown in just to get my point across.

This blend of cultures is what makes my recipes eclectic and exciting.

I really hope you will enjoy my recipes, my creations or creations from others chefs that I have adapted to make them more accessible and easy for you and that your family will look forward to sitting at the table and enjoying each other through the food experience that you create. Let’s begin!
