Happy New Year!!!

We love to start the year at our house by making dishes to celebrate our upbringing.   On New Year’s Day, we celebrate the South with  Black Eye Peas with Ham Hocks, Turnip Greens and Corn Bread.  To celebrate France and Italy, we make Lentils with Cotechino and fish. And, to celebrate life we must have Champagne.


This year was no exception. We are thankful that our friends joined us to eat the huge pot of black eye peas and lentils we made. It was great to be all together and close the Holiday Season with great company, good food and lots of laughter.

May 2011, be a year that all your dreams, wishes and hopes come true.
