Mustard mayonnaise glazed asparagus

After days of suffering with gargantuan allergies, I finally have somewhat my taste buds back. Not be able to taste is not fun, but then I am not the only one at there with this problem, so I will leave it to that.
Tonight is a short order cook delight. Grilled asparagus is the common denominator, 2 different cuts of steak prepared in 2 different way. So I will share my husband steak cooking preference tonight, has he is the only one with a specific recipe.

Tonight’s April 28, 2010 dinner:
Rib Eye steak marinated in Kikkoman Soy Sauce with Garlic
Mustard and Mayonnaise with Glazed Asparagus

RIB EYE STEAK MARINATED IN KIKKOMAN SOY SAUCE WITH GARLIC
Rib eye steak
Kikkoman soy sauce
Chopped garlic

In a shallow dish place the steak with Kikkoman sauce and spread the garlic clove intop of the steak. Marinate for 15 minutes and then turn and insure that the steak is nicely covered and marinating
Preheat the oven to broil setting. Cook the steak 4 “ away from heat source. Cook to desire liking.

MUSTARD AND MAYONNAISE GLAZED ASPARAGUS
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup mustard
¼ cup olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 garlic clove crushed
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground pepper
1 pound asparagus

Preheat oven at 375ᵒ . In a shallow dish whisk together the mayonnaise with the mustard, oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, salt and pepper. Add the asparagus and turn to coat. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Place the asparagus in a cooking sheet in the oven for 10 minutes.

I tried searing the asparagus in a very hot pan and the result was wonderful.
