October Foodie Pen Pal Revealed
- 10.31.12
It is time to reveal my month of October Foodie Pen Pal. Actually I have two posting in one. One from Jamie that sent me mine, Kristen that I sent my package to.
This month I received my package from Jamie. Jamie lives in New York and she sent me all locally made treats from New your and her home borough of Brooklyn. I LOVED every things she sent me. I love the fact that she shopped locally.
Let me start by the chocolate, Tumbador Chocolate. I know chocolate, I love chocolate, I eat chocolate every days, and I have to say this is the best Chocolate on this side of the Atlantic. Check out the link, I had to and I can wait to get me some more coming my way.
Moving right along to the Redhead Bacon Peanut Brittles. A bit skeptical at first, but no more. Once the bag was open, the closing arrived as the bag was going in the garbage. Yummy with a hint of spice. Perfect with a nice glass or chilled white Chardonnay.
The salsa from The Brooklyn Salsa Company… well we do know salsa here in Arizona, but this is just perfect for me. I squeeze lime or lemon on my salsa, on guacamole and anything that I can squeeze lemon or lime in to. You can imagine my delight receiving a sauce that had a very pleasant and strong lemon- lime flavor to it. The hot kick came afterword and each flavor just exploded in your mouth. , The jar was open, the salsa was enjoyed bite per bite. The salsa was gone just like that. I want more…. I definitely will look for and will get it again.
Jamie,
Thank you so much for sharing with me your favorite local treats, it really was a treat.

And now a note from Kristen, my Foodie Pen Pal for this month. Kristen is not a blogger and she has asked me to post the below in her behalf.
What a great experience! I decided to join the Foodie Pen Pals for October after my sister participated in September. Putting together a box was a lot of fun, but coming home to a package and opening it up to find out what’s inside was wonderful!
It was almost like Giangi knew me. She sent me new flavors of some of my favorite foods. She sent me a jar of prickly pear cactus honey, salsa, and a bean dip. Honey is my favorite, and this honey was delicious! The salsa was great, but I haven’t had a chance to make the bean dip yet. I am still anxious to try it!
Giangi helped me have a wonderful first time experience with Foodie Pen Pals! I’m really looking forward to November!
