Vacation Has Officially Started
- 06.27.19
Vacation has officially started. Hi everyone! It has been a fantastic almost two weeks visiting fantastic places in within the United States.
Grateful at the opportunity to show our son places that not only are beautiful, but also enrich and expand our appreciation for history.
We started at the Redwood National Park and Eureka.
When I first visited Eureka, I felt in love with all the Victorian homes. Quaint town with Carson Mansion sitting tall up on the knoll. magnificent as usual.
And here couple more of Victorian architecture.
Couple of hours of windy road into the most beautiful redwoods you will ever see, here we are at The Redwood National Park. A must see.
Most people know Redwood as home to the tallest trees on Earth. The parks also protect vast prairies, oak woodlands, wild river-ways, and nearly 40-miles of rugged coastline.
For thousands of years people have lived in this verdant landscape.
This Big Tree stands tall at 286 feet and is around 1500 years old. Couple more pictures of the beauty in within the park. Here is my son standing at the feet of a 250 feet tall redwood.
As we are headed out of the park, we stopped along side the ocean and enjoyed the wind blowing in our hairs and the crashing of the waves on the sand.
Our day came to a close as we are headed out to our next adventure.
Until then, with love and gratitude
