Unusual Drinks

Published on February 19, 2013 | Holiday

I am always asked what is our favorite drink. I guess the answer depend of the occasion. We always try to have some wine with our dinner. I really enjoy red wines, but  sometimes however we are in the mood of something different.
Throughout the years I have collected a couple of drinks that we really enjoy. Mango Martini is one of them, as well as Pomegranate Cosmos or Ginger Lemon Tree.
For those of you wanting to try something new and a different cocktails and drinks with unusual ingredients, the possibilities are endless.
We always enjoy our cocktails with a small tray of cheeses, olives and light water crackers.

Here are a few of our favorites:

45 ml Grey Goose Vodka
15 ml Triple Sec
10 oz Fresh Mangos (or frozen thaw them before using)
Mix the Vodka with Triple Sec in a martini shaker or container.
Puree the mangos and add them to the Vodka and Triple sec. Let them infuse together in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Add crushed ice to the Vodka Mango mixture, shake well and stir into cold glasses.
If less pulp is desired, add cranberry juice to the mix and strain when ready to enjoy it.
3oz Pomegranate Vodka
2 oz Cranberry Juice
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz Triple sec
Mix well over ice and serve on ice martini glasses.
