Pasta with shrimps, tomatoes.

Fresh tomatoes are abundant everywhere. The sweet scent is so wonderful. Since we loved so much the tomato basil sauce, therefore we decided to make it again. This time we added shrimps to it.

We love farfalle pasta as is marries well with all tomatoes sauces. Always cook the pasta al dente and save a cup of the cooking water just in case. Mixing the pasta into the tomato saucepan will help absorb all the sauce. Adding a tablespoon of butter to the pasta will allow the sauce to adhere better to it. Always cook the pasta into salted boiling water. Taste before draining to make sure it is salted enough.

Ingredients

Original recipe yields 4 servings

  • 4 halved, seeded and cut into small pieces tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 pound Farfalle pasta
  • 1 pound fresh, cleaned and deveined shrimps
  • basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta to al dente.

  2. Meanwhile in a large frying pan, melt the butter and add the tomatoes. Sauté over medium high heat for about 1 minute.

  3. Add the cleaned shrimps and cook until light pink.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Add the basil and stir lightly.

  6. When the pasta is ready add it to the large skillet with the tomatoes and shrimps. Add the butter and mix well.

  7. Serve immediately nice and hot.
